The Wall of Life is a 8x26 array of blue LEDs spaced 6" apart on a 4'x28' wall. The LEDs are controlled by a Parallax SX28 Microprocessor and Maxim LED driver that repeatedly fills the display with random bits and runs Conway's Game of Life. Diffused acrylic is installed over the LED array to provide a writing surface for dry erase markers. The project was contracted by the University of Advancing Technology and installed near the University's cafe on April 10th, 2008.
